Tata Group is prepared to purchase the Indian supplier factory for Apple.

The deal for Tata Group to purchase Apple’s Indian supplier facility is coming to an end.
In accordance with a previous agreement made by Wistron Corp., Tata Group would likewise triple its staff.

The Tata Group will produce the forthcoming iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models in India.

Tata Group has started the process of buying the Indian facility that supplies Apple, so soon they will be producing iPhones.

According to reports, they’ll buy the facility by August 2023.Once the agreement is finalized, the Tata Group will be the first local business to begin building Apple iPhones.

The facility in question is the Karnataka-based Wistron Corporation factory. The iPhone 14 variants are presently put together in this plant. In terms of value, the factory is worth 600 million dollars and employs over 10,000 people.

The Tata Group will have enormous billables as a result of the massive acquisition. According to a Bloomberg article, Tata Group will meet Wistron Corporation’s goal of supplying iPhones worth $1.8 billion by the conclusion of the company’s fiscal year 2023–2024 following the purchase. In addition, as previously announced by Wistron Corp., Tata Group would also triple its staff.

Tata’s acquisition of Taiwanese business Wistron Corp. will result in the closure of all Indian operations.

This deal is seen favorably by India since it will encourage additional businesses to locate their manufacturing operations there, thus reducing their reliance on China.

In a previous report, Trendforce speculated that the Tata Group may produce the forthcoming iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models in India. It was also rumored that for the next iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models, the Tata Group will only receive lesser orders.
