Jio Prepaid Plans Have Increased By Up To 20%; Which Plan Is Right For You?

  • Reliance Jio hikes prepaid plans by ₹150.
  • Their most expensive plan which was for ₹749 is now ₹899.

Reliance Jio, one of India’s largest telecom companies, is raising the price of its JioPhone feature phone’s prepaid plans by as much as ₹150. On Jio’s website, the new rates for JioPhone’s prepaid plans have been published. Several sources have supported this up, indicating a 20% price increase. The most costly plan, which was ₹749 before the change, is currently offered at ₹899.

The ₹899 plan, which has been raised from ₹749, is a 336-day long-term plan. This package includes 2GB of 4G data every 28 days and 50 SMS per day. The total data provided with this recharge is 24GB, and once the high-speed 4G data has exhausted, data rates will drop to 64 Kbps. Jio TV, JioCinema, JioCloud, and other bundled content and services are included in the package.

The other two plans that have witnessed a price rise are priced at ₹222 and ₹186, respectively, up from ₹185 and ₹155. Users may get 2GB of 4G data per day with the new ₹222 prepaid JioPhone plan, after which internet speeds decrease to 64 Kbps. The recharge pack has a 28-day validity period and offers unlimited phone calls and 100 SMS messages each day across all carriers. There are also bundled content and service options included in the package.

The alternative package, currently priced at ₹186, gives 1GB of 4G data per day in addition to the prior features. Apart from this idea, none of Jio’s other plans have been raised.

Jio was the first telecom company to bring 4G service to the Spangmik village near Pangong Lake in Ladakh. After a lengthy wait, Jio subscribers in this area will have access to 4G service. The telecommunications provider has recently increased its offerings, becoming the first to offer 4G access near the Kedarnath hike route. Jio aims to build two more towers along this corridor after completing work in Chhoti Lincholi, Lincholi, and Rudrapoint.
