Jio 5G upgrades, Jio AirFiber, Jio Cloud PC, and more are featured at Reliance AGM 2022.

The Ambanis announced a wide range of goods and services at the 44th Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries. This covers, among other things, updates on the Jio 5G deployment, JioAirFiber, Jio Cloud PC, and extremely affordable 5G devices with Google.

By December 2023, Jio 5G would be available throughout India, starting in major cities. Jio will roll out independent 5G that is not dependent on 4G infrastructure. JioAirFiber, Jio Cloud PC, and the company’s many partnerships and activities with international partners were also disclosed by Mukesh Ambani and his team.

The 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Reliance was live streamed on YouTube and other social media platforms. It’s intriguing that the oil-to-tech corporation also planned a Metaverse (Virtual Reality-based) experience for the audience. By Diwali 2022, Jio hopes to roll out Jio 5G in major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai. Additionally, the company anticipates that by December 2023, the service would be available in all Tehsils and Taluks of India. This would be the world’s fastest 5G rollout if everything goes according to plan.

It has set aside a $2 lakh crore investment for this use.

JIO AIRFIBER

Through hardware known as the AirFiber Home Gateway, Reliance Jio 5G is used to connect AirFiber, a wireless Wi-Fi hotspot. The moniker comes from the fiber-like speeds it promises.

Jio’s key partners in the 5G business include:

  • Equipment associated with “immersive technology” is probably AR/VR.
  • Google for their development on extremely cost 5G handsets and cloud infrastructure.
  • For cloud support, there is also Qualcomm, Intel, and Microsoft.
  • Although specifics are not provided, the business has also highlighted its collaborations with Cisco, Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, and Samsung.
