In order to compete in the mid-range and mass-market smartphone segments, chipmaker Qualcomm has introduced the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 mobile platforms.
With its extensive connections and long-lasting, effective power and performance for intense gaming, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 widens the user base.
With its excellent performance and AI, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 enables fluid and intuitive interactions. According to a statement from the business, this chip also offers better connection and sophisticated photographic functions.
Commercial Snapdragon 6-based products are anticipated to hit the market in Q1 2023, whereas Snapdragon 4-based devices are projected to debut in the current third quarter.

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 supports staggered HDR imaging sensors, a first for the Snapdragon 6-series, and enables users to take 108 MP photographs and videos with computational HDR.
For up to three times better AI performance than its predecessor for intelligent assistance across the board, including AI-based activity tracking, Snapdragon 6 comes with the 7th Gen Qualcomm AI Engine.
According to the manufacturer, the Snapdragon 6 “powers HDR gaming at an ultra-smooth 60+fps while delivering real-time responses and high-quality visuals for winning entertainment” and has “hard-hitting gaming features that deliver up to 35 percent quicker graphics rendering and up to 40 percent faster processing.”
Impressive performance and a multi-day battery life are features of the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1.
Users may seamlessly multitask and take in immersive entertainment thanks to the platform’s up to 15% better CPU and up to 10% better GPU than the previous iteration.
