Microsoft has secretly revealed that later this month, it will have a “digital event” for Surface, Windows, and Copilot. For the event, Microsoft has established a website.
“New Era of Work,” the name of the digital event, will center around news related to Copilot, Windows, and Surface.
The homepage says, “Check in here for the latest in scalably AI in your environment with Copilot, Windows, and Surface.”
There are rumors that Microsoft plans to unveil the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 at the event. According to reports, these are Microsoft’s first AI-enabled PCs, with unique AI features that will be available in Windows 11 later this year.
Anticipated CPUs for the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 are the latest Intel Core Ultra and Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite models. Next-generation NPUs could be included in these chipsets to improve AI performance. These new processors are expected to significantly outperform their predecessors in terms of performance and efficiency.
It’s probable that the Surface Pro 10 will resemble its predecessor in terms of appearance. It could have a modernized OLED panel that is anti-reflective and supports HDR. Furthermore, an enhanced ultrawide front-facing webcam driven by AI Studio Effects may be available.
The Surface Laptop 6, on the other hand, is anticipated to feature a more streamlined appearance with smaller bezels, a new haptic touchpad, and an updated connector lineup that includes USB-C and USB-A.
It’s expected that these laptops would be among the first to enable Windows 11’s future AI features. These consist of things like the cutting-edge “AI Explorer” tool, improved Windows Studio Effects, video game upscaling, real-time live captioning and translations, and on-device Copilot capability.
