San Francisco, Sep 9 (IANS) Tech behemoth Microsoft has disclosed that it is launching new trials to figure out how to provide Xbox players a more customised home screen experience.
The business said that its main goal is to make it quicker and simpler for consumers to enjoy their favourite games and discover new ones.
Ivy Krislov, Senior Product Manager Lead, Xbox, wrote in a blog post, “We know the Xbox homepage is where our gamers spend a lot of time, and it’s a space that’s very personal. We also know we can always be listening and learning how we can do better here while keeping your experience fast and familiar.”
Layout, design, and ease of access modifications will be made starting this week for a random subset of Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring as we experiment with new ideas.
Additionally, Krislov added, “We are looking into possibilities for new game channels and collections that contain content that’s selected for you based on things like the games you’ve played or how to get the most of your Game Pass membership.”
The “Jump back in” row, which provides users instant access to their most recent games and applications, is the main improvement in this initial set of preview upgrades.
With their own dedicated tiles on Xbox Home, users can quickly access important system programmes like Settings, Store, Search, and My Games and Apps.
We want to make sure that this experience is the best it can be, and because we know that doing it well will take some time, we will be introducing it gradually and making changes along the way, according to Krislov.
Please share your thoughts and be patient while we add, delete, and alter elements to enhance the experience, Krislov said. “With your input, we are looking forward to introducing this new, better Home experience in 2023,” he said.
