We are all aware of and have heard about Intel, unless we have been living under a rock. It is the biggest producer of semiconductors and central processing units worldwide. The same Intel now has ambitious intentions for India. Intel has partnered with a number of businesses to move on with its plans to increase laptop production in India. Allow me to explain everything to you.

Intel intends to expand and improve India’s laptop manufacturing industry. For this, the company will leverage its extensive IT industry knowledge, and it has teamed with eight of India’s top Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) and Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) providers.

Intel’s collaboration

The companies Intel has partnered with are:

  • Bhagwati Products Ltd
  • Dixon Technologies India Ltd
  • Kaynes Technology India Ltd
  • Optiemus Electronics Ltd
  • Panache Digilife Ltd
  • Smile Electronics Ltd
  • Syrma SGS Technology Ltd
  • VVDN Technologies Private Ltd.

Additionally, Intel disclosed that some of these companies may be venturing into the laptop manufacturing industry for the first time.

According to Intel, the goal of collaborating with these eight Indian businesses is to provide them the capacity to meet both local and international demand. “Intel and the Indian manufacturing ecosystem are collaborating to enable them to meet both domestic and global demand,” the statement read.

With the support of this plan, entry-level laptop manufacture and manufacturing in India will grow. This strategy calls for the installation of cutting-edge SMT lines, the establishment of a component quality control procedure, and the benchmarking of completed goods. Intel will assist ODMs in both the Semi Knocked Down (SKD) and Completely Knocked Down (CKD) processes in order to further this.

With regard to “Made in India,” Intel has huge plans. In November, it will hold the India Tech Ecosystem Summit, which will provide an opportunity to consider the range of gadgets that are being produced in India by regional businesses.
