Airtel Launches India’s First Metaverse Multiplex; Check It Out!

Airtel has launched India’s first metaverse multiplex, capitalising on the buzz around the metaverse. This is part of Airtel’s Xstream Premium package, and it was developed in conjunction with Partynite, a blockchain-based digital parallel universe. Here’s a little peek at what this new adventure will entail.

The Airtel Xstream Multiplex will have 20 screens and will allow you to enjoy a multiplex experience from the comfort of your own home. You may watch content from Eros Now, Lionsgate Play, Hoi Choi, Hungama Play, and other OTT sites.

This is more of an extension of Airtel’s Xstream video streaming service, which just surpassed 2 million subscribers. On the Partynite metaverse platform, you’ll be able to modify your avatar and explore the numerous engagement layers.

“Airtel’s Xstream multiplex delivers a larger-than-life experience, which brings together Web 3.0 apps and immersive storytelling, as well as a variety of content from our partners,” Shashwat Sharma, Director – Marketing, Airtel, remarked on Partynite Metaverse about the Airtel Xstream multiplex. In India, we all know how much people enjoy movies and other forms of entertainment. We’re hoping to reach a wider audience through the metaverse, allowing content fans a chance to try out Airtel’s Xstream Premium service and thereby help drive greater adoption.”

You can also watch the first episode of an original TV series and the first few minutes of a movie (in regional languages, Hindi, and English) at the metaverse’s multiplex, which you can completely access by subscribing to Airtel Xstream. The Airtel Xstream Premium video streaming service, which was just launched, costs Rs 149 per month for those who are unaware. You can see how this will work in the video below.

The Partynite app for Android and the web may be used to access Airtel’s Xstream Multiplex. So, how do you feel about this intriguing concept? Is it to your liking?
